Traveling to this tranquil and untouched paradise has never been easier. Most flights to Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort arrive at Stella Maris airport on Long Island.
Daily flights from Nassau direct to Stella Maris (airport code "SML") are now available with Southern Air and Pineapple Air.
Daily flights to Deadman’s Cay (airport code "LGI") on Long Island are also available. Currently, Southern Air, Pineapple Air (+1 242 377-0140) and Bahamas Air all fly to Long Island from Nassau.
From Miami or Ft Lauderdale, guests may travel to Cape Santa Maria Beach Resort via George Town on neighboring Exuma Island. The flight from Florida to George Town takes about an hour and half, while George Town to Long Island takes 15 minutes over the stunningly beautiful Caribbean.
Flights from Florida to George Town are available with Continental Airlines and American Airlines. Flights from George Town to Long Island are available with Island Wings Charter, Island Connections Air Charters and Steve Smith Charters.
WestJet offers 7 direct flights per week from Toronto to Nassau, and both hubs have many connecting options.
If you just can’t wait to get under the Caribbean sun or if you are travelling with a group, air charters are a great option. Direct chartered flights from Miami, Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach are available, with daily departures operated by Trans-Caribbean Air. The resurfacing of the airstrip at Stella Maris Airport is now complete and the airport has reopened to private pilots, commercial and charter aircraft. The customs department is also open at the airport so that private planes coming from outside of the Bahamas can now receive customs clearance at Stella Maris.
