Getting to Long Island, Bahamas

Traveling to this tranquil and untouched paradise has never been easier.

There are two main air routes to Long Island, Bahamas: via Nassau and via George Town on nearby Exuma Island.

Flying via Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau International Airport is the Bahamas’ major air hub, served by many international airlines.

There are direct flights to Nassau from Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Charlotte, Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, London, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary.

From Nassau you can fly direct to Long Island, landing at Stella Maris (airport code "SML") with Southern Air, Bahamas Air and Pineapple Air. Stella Maris airport is a 12-minute taxi ride to the resort.

Flying via George Town, Bahamas

If you’re traveling through Miami or Fort Lauderdale, Florida you may prefer to arrive via George Town on nearby Exuma Island. The flight from Florida to George Town takes about an hour and half, and then another 15 minutes from George Town to Long Island over the beautiful Caribbean Sea.

Continental Airlines and American Airlines offer flights from Florida to George Town. Flights from George Town to Long Island are available with Island Wings Charter, Island Connections Air Charters and Steve Smith Charters.

Charter flights from Florida to the resort

If you just can’t wait to get under the Caribbean sun or if you are travelling with a group, air charters from Florida are a great option. Direct chartered flights from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach are available, with daily departures operated by Trans-Caribbean Air, Over Under Aviation, Yellow Air Taxi, Locair and others.
