Flying via Nassau, Bahamas
Nassau International Airport is the Bahamas’ major air hub, served by many international airlines.
There are direct flights to Nassau from Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Panama, Washington, Philadelphia, New York, Washington, London, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary.
Westjet flies from both Calgary (Seasonal - Saturdays) and Toronto (daily) direct to Nassau.
Air Canada - Direct Flights from Toronto (daily) and Montreal (seasonal) non-stop to Nassau.
Southern Air offers 13 flights per week from Nassau to Long Island, landing at Stella Maris Airport (airport code "SML") only minutes from Cape Santa Maria.
Flying via Georgetown, Bahamas
If you’re traveling through Miami or Fort Lauderdale, Florida you may prefer to arrive via Georgetown on nearby Exuma Island. The flight from Florida to Georgetown takes about an hour and half, and then another 13 minutes from Georgetown to Long Island over the beautiful Caribbean Sea.
American Airlines services Georgetown through Miami.
United Airlines services Georgetown through Ft. Lauderdale.
Air Canada offers direct flights from Toronto to Georgetown on Saturdays and Sundays.
Delta Airlines offers flights from Atlanta to Georgetown on Sundays.
Flights from Georgetown to Long Island are available with Island Wings Charter, a 15 minute scenic charter.
Charter flights from Florida to Long Island
If you just can’t wait to get under the Caribbean sun or if you are travelling with a group, air charters from Florida are a great option. Direct chartered flights from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach are available, with daily departures operated by Trans-Caribbean Air, Choice Air, and others.
